PAC Chair
Rob Freres is the President of Lyons-based Freres Lumber, a family-owned wood products company founded nearly 100 years ago. Rob started working at the company at the age of 10 doing clean-up work around the mill. Today, he’s recognized worldwide for Freres Lumber’s innovative approach to developing timber products such as mass plywood panels. The company also operates a cogeneration plant which converts manufacturing waste products into electricity. Freres estimates the plant produces enough electricity to power as many as 5,000 homes.
Freres Lumber employs nearly 500 Oregonians and is very active in supporting the Willamette Valley Community through the Freres Foundation.
As the PAC Chair for OMC, Freres oversees the association’s political and issue advocacy strategies.
